Privacy Policy

Last updated October 3, 2026

The short version: you add your own trade history; we use it only to show you your trading habits. We don’t sell it, show ads, or use tracking cookies. Nothing is public unless you turn on a sharing feature, and deleting your history deletes it.

This policy explains what Trade Coach (at mytradehabits.com, “we”) collects, why, who helps us process it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Invite requests: if you ask for an invite on our home page, your email address and the optional note you add. We use them only to invite you, and remove the request once you're invited or if we decline it.
  • Account details: your email address. If you sign in with Google, also the name and profile picture address Google shares.
  • Sign-in records: when you signed in, and the IP address and browser type of the device, kept with your session so it can be secured and ended.
  • The trade history you add: for each buy or sell, the stock or option, side, quantity, price, date and time, fees, which brokerage it came from, and any planned stop or note you add. When you import a file we read only these columns; the file itself isn’t kept.
  • What you write: notes on trades, and the text of any “challenge” you send about one of your checks.
  • Your plan (Free, Starter or Pro) and the sharing choices you make.

We don’t connect to your brokerage account and never receive your brokerage login, account numbers or balances. We don’t use advertising or analytics trackers. The only cookies are the ones that keep you signed in (and, during Google sign-in, the ones that complete it).

How we use it

  • To calculate your trading habits, trader type, timeline, streaks and milestones, and to show them to you.
  • To write plain-language explanations of those numbers, and of big price moves after you sold (see “AI”).
  • To send you sign-in links, and to keep the service secure (for example, limiting repeated sign-in attempts).
  • To run the service: an administrator can see each account’s email, plan, sign-up and last-active dates, and how many buys and sells it holds. The admin view never shows your trades, stocks or amounts. We look at an individual’s trade data only to fix a problem they report, or when the law requires it.

AI

Explanations are written by Anthropic’s Claude models. What is sent, and what isn’t:

  • For the checks on My patterns: the calculated habit numbers behind that check (for example your win rate or how long you held winners, which can include stock symbols). If you challenge a check, the text you wrote is sent too.
  • For “What drove it?”: only the stock symbol, the date and public news headlines and filings. Nothing about your trade.
  • Never: your name, email address, or your full trade list.

Under Anthropic’s commercial terms, data sent through its API isn’t used to train its models. All numbers you see are calculated by our own code; the AI only puts them into words, and its text is checked automatically before it’s shown.

Who helps us run Trade Coach

These providers process data on our behalf, only to provide their part of the service:

  • Supabase stores the database (your account, trade history and any invite request), in the United States.
  • Railway runs the part of Trade Coach that does the calculations.
  • Vercel runs the website you use.
  • Resend delivers sign-in emails (your email address and the link).
  • Google only if you choose “Continue with Google”: confirms your email address and name.
  • Anthropic writes the plain-language explanations (see “AI” below).
  • Massive provides stock prices. We ask for a stock’s price history by its symbol; nothing about you is sent.
  • SEC EDGAR public company filings, looked up by company; nothing about you is sent.
  • Sentry if enabled, receives error reports that are stripped of personal data and request contents.
  • Cloudflare points our domain name at the services above.

Sharing

We don’t sell or rent your data, and we don’t share it with advertisers. Your trade history is private by default. It becomes visible to others only if you turn on a sharing feature:

  • Trader-type card: shows your trader type and answers; habit numbers only with a second, separate opt-in. Never your trades, stocks, dollar amounts or returns.
  • Public trade log: only the trades you add to it one by one; dollar amounts only with a separate opt-in; notes are never shown.

You can remove these at any time. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of users or the service, or as part of a sale or merger of the service (in which case this policy continues to apply to your data).

How long we keep it, and deleting it

We keep your data while you have an account. My trades → Delete all my trade history permanently deletes every trade, your analysis history and anything you shared, right away. Copies may remain in the database provider’s backups for a short period before they’re overwritten. To also delete your sign-in record (your email address), contact us and we’ll remove it.

Records of AI usage and cached stock prices don’t identify you and are kept to run the service.

Security

All connections use HTTPS, and the database is encrypted at rest by its provider. Each request is checked so you can only reach your own data, and sign-in links expire after 15 minutes and work once. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we’ll tell you as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

  • See, edit and delete your trades in the app at any time.
  • Ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it.
  • Turn sharing features off at any time.

Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have further rights, such as to know what we collect and to request deletion. We honor these requests for everyone, wherever they live, and won’t treat you differently for making one.

Who can use Trade Coach

Trade Coach is for adults (18 or older) and is currently offered in the United States. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if you believe we have, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above, and tell you in the app or by email before significant changes take effect. Questions or requests: the email address of the person who invited you to the beta. See also our Terms of Service.
